Andrew recommends starting first with the bones of the house - and this is particularly important when renovating an older character home. Start by looking under the roof and behind the walls to ensure that the home is in good shape before working on cosmetic interior finished. Equally important is considering the exterior elements that impact your home - such as how septic, sewer and drains can potentially lead to any water interference on your property.
